Some loose sketching based on the initial information we discussed. The aim was to steer clear of stereotypical political imagery and appeal to a younger group of people.
demographic: youth-based; young people (east portland), local governments, other funders, and grant-makers, low-income mostly Black and brown youth.
Message: "Things related to voting". The program revolves around designing their own projects, improving parks, helping with houseless services, helping with school, community-based, issues that youth actually care about, centered around social issues.
don't: no American-ism, nothing patriotic or red white and blue; not something super stuffy or too corporate, a million hands "community", no stars, no outline of a place/state/country
Vibes: not super flowery or reserved, it can be bold and playful, not corporate, respected. because so much of what they do focuses on joy/play/fun, positive message.
